The Polyurethane cover is a virgin Polyurethane (first generation) with a density of 1.15 pounds per cubic foot. The other major feature of the foam is the indentation load deflection (compression) which is 36 pounds. Compression is determined as how many pounds of force are required to push a 50 square inch plate onto a foam cover reducing it by twenty five percent of it's original hieght.The second element of the crib mattress is the cover. LML CC is currently using a double laminate vinyl which is supported with typar. Typar is a polyester filament that is collandered into the vinyl while it is being heated. As the vinyl cools, a very strong bond between the vinyl and typar forms. This makes a durable cover!
